This is resulting in the breaking of the boundaries across different project management schools of thought, especially traditional (predictive) project management and agile (adaptive) project management. Though agile project management started with I.T, now it has started penetrating into other engineering domains as well, as a hybrid of predictive project management and agile. The new version of the Project Management Body Of Knowledge (PMBOK) Version 7, scheduled to be released in December 2020 is an embodiment of this shift in project management and is an indication of the institutionalization of this trend.
