Abu Dhabi Transport Company to use Wrench SmartProject EDMS on Etihad Railway Project

The Abu Dhabi Transport Company (ADTC), has chosen to implement the Wrench SmartProject EDMS solution on its د.إ 344,190 Etihad Railway project at Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is a trailblazing project from Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE’s national railway network that seeks to connect the country’s key centres of trade. Etihad Rail was set up with the mandate to manage the development, construction and operation of the UAE’s national freight and passenger railway network, which in turns forms a vital part of the planned railway network across the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) that brings together six Arab countries; Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
ADTC decided to go with Wrench solutions after a long-drawn and intensive evaluation to ensure that the Wrench EDMS solution was the right fit for the organisation as they wanted a scalable solution that could be used on multiple projects immediately and down the line.
Said Philips Tharakan, VP of Middle East, Wrench Solutions, “It took us over a year to get this contract. We had to satisfy many levels of evaluation and discussions with ATDC and their contractor NICC (National Infrastructure Construction Company) which was set up in 2022 as a subsidiary of Etihad Rail PJSC. NICC was also part of the evaluation. We are therefore very confident that our solution will live up to all their expectations, and anticipate a mutually-beneficial and long-term partnership with them”.
ADTC plans to roll out Wrench SmartProject EDMS on multiple projects over the next 2 years, with the option to upgrade to other Wrench SmartProject modules in the future.
