As Engineering resource planning and management is integral to successful project delivery within time and budget, engineering resource costing is essential for analyzing resource cost variance in Project Management to track Project Profitability. Currently, these are managed separately in SmartProject. Hence a provision to carry out Project Resource Costing, by linking resource booking and timesheet/ bulk time posting with the Cost Management module is introduced. The following facilities are included.

• Provision to specify the standard rate per hour for user groups. The value specified here will be fetched automatically when a timesheet booking is created for a Role.

• Provision to specify external rate/hour is available in the Resource Costing window for role-based booking. In the case of role-based booking, the budget is calculated using the rates specified here.

• While creating a budget line item, an option to select a budget type from a drop-down list is included. Options available are General, Material, and Human Resources. Using these options budget can be linked to BOQ material or resource.
