Add Reality to Your Project Schedules
Add Reality to Your Project Schedules
“What if Analysis” in SmartProject helps to adjust a project schedule’s timeline for a more favorable solution. When a project schedule is first created, tasks and durations are linked to form an estimated project duration. Resources are assigned and man hours are defined for the resources.
The primary objective of the top management would be to reduce the cost, bring in the schedule, or mitigate risks to achieve management’s expectations and business drivers. By applying these drivers to the schedule through scenarios, you can analyze the schedule impact.
By comparing schedules using What-if Analysis, you can decide which schedule best fits the business drivers and the project. Once What-If Analyses are performed a more realistic project schedule can be created.
Using the What if Analysis facility you can,
- Create working copies of your schedules.
- Compare the working copies with the original schedules.
