SPEC Energy adopts Wrench SmartProject as EPC management solution
Dubai, 20 Jan 2020: The Dubai-based SPEC Group is an engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction provider to the energy and infrastructure sector, specializing in customized solutions from concept to commissioning for a variety of clientele in some of the harshest terrains on earth. Since its inception in 2000, SPEC has established itself as a premier single source solutions provider for mid-size onshore projects. SPEC has chosen Wrench SmartProject as its corporate-wide platform for managing engineering, procurement, and construction on all its projects.
SPEC had been using emails and shared drives for communicating across its global network of offices and manufacturing facilities. With schedules becoming tighter and projects margins becoming thinner across the oil and gas industry the company felt the need for a system that could enable better integration between site design, engineering and manufacturing units. They began to look for a system which would not only enable smoother collaboration but also provide real time monitoring across project progress and execution. After evaluating others, SPEC chose SmartProject.
Wrench rolled out the implementation within 1 week (including training).
Said Manesh, COO, Wrench, “Being a vertically integrated EPC provider, SPEC needed a system that could manage work across the full project lifecycle, including engineering, design, project management, procurement, manufacturing and construction services. I am confident that with SmartProject they will see immediate and significant improvements across all their functions, and be able to complete projects on time and within budget.”
