23-4-2019: Tata Project’s eastern-dedicated freight corridor project, which is a joint venture of Tata Projects and GMR Infrastructure, will be executed on the Wrench SmartProject platform. The Dedicated Freight Corridor, a program of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, comprises two corridors from Ludhiana to Dankuni and will cover 1,839 kilometers. This key infrastructure project will segregate the Indian passenger network from the Indian freight network, and is expected to increase the speed of freight trains by up to 100 Kilometers per hour.
